Working abroad can change a family's life, and the decision deserves care. Please read this page before you resign, spend savings, book a ticket or pay a visa fee. It explains what our content is, and what it is not.
1. What our content is
Everything on JobsAbroad Bangladesh, including the guides, articles, job pages and videos, is general information. It is not immigration advice. It is not legal advice. It is not financial advice. It is written for many readers at once, not for you personally.
Your real options depend on details we cannot see, such as your occupation, age, qualifications, skills assessment, English test score and family situation. Use our pages to learn and to prepare, then check how the rules apply to you.
2. Employers and governments make the decisions
An employer chooses whom to interview, whom to hire and when the job begins. The Australian or New Zealand government decides whether to grant a visa and how quickly. JobsAbroad Bangladesh has no say in either.
For that reason we make no guarantees. Applying through our site does not guarantee an interview, an offer, sponsorship or a visa. A friend's success, even with a similar profile, tells you little about your own result.
3. What we are not
JobsAbroad Bangladesh is not a recruiting agency licensed in Bangladesh, and it does not issue emigration clearance. Clearance for Bangladeshi workers going abroad is handled by the Bangladesh government's own bodies, so please follow their current process.
We are not migration agents or immigration advisers either. In Australia, only a registered migration agent or an Australian legal practitioner may be paid for immigration assistance. In New Zealand, immigration advice generally must come from a licensed immigration adviser or a person exempt from licensing, such as a lawyer. If your case is complex or a lot rides on it, speak to someone qualified and authorised.
4. Check the official websites
Our visa guides summarise government information and carry an "as of" date. Fees, pay thresholds, occupation lists and rules can change quickly, so a guide may already be behind. Before you apply or pay, look at the latest official pages:
- Australia: Department of Home Affairs
- New Zealand: Immigration New Zealand
5. Papers you may need from Bangladesh
Employers and visa officers may ask for documents only you can obtain at home: a valid passport, a police clearance certificate, attested copies of SSC, HSC or university certificates, or proof that a qualification is genuine. Some of these take weeks. JobsAbroad Bangladesh does not issue or process any of them and cannot speed them up. Check the current steps, costs and times with the issuing office, and be wary of anyone offering a shortcut.
6. Pay and currency
The job title, duties, requirements and pay on a listing come from the employer and can change. Pay is usually in Australian or New Zealand dollars, may be per hour, week or year, and is normally before tax. A conversion to taka is only a rough guide. Trust the figures in a signed offer, and compare them with living costs in the place you would work, which vary a lot.
7. Before you commit
- Compare our guide's "as of" date with the official page.
- Get the pay, hours and conditions from the employer in writing.
- Keep a copy of every document and message.
- Walk away from anyone who promises a job or a visa for certain.
8. Other websites we link to
We do not control government websites, YouTube, WhatsApp or social networks. The other websites we link to, Skills Assessment Australia (rpldirect.com.au), Build AI CV (buildaicv.com), Talent Tabloid (talenttabloid.com) and English test practice (practisenow.com), follow their own terms and privacy policies. A link from us does not mean we endorse what is there.
