The business is a well-established agricultural machinery operation offering a permanent full-time position. You will split your time between the workshop and the paddock, servicing tractors, sprayers, seeders and harvesters, chasing hydraulic and electrical faults with modern scan tools, and keeping machines ready through planting and harvest. Some seasonal on-call work is part of the job.

Key Responsibilities
- Service, maintain and repair agricultural diesel machinery in the workshop and in the field
- Find and fix mechanical, hydraulic, electrical and electronic faults with modern diagnostic gear and scan tools
- Work on tractors, harvesters, headers, sprayers, seeders and other farm machines
- Carry out preventative maintenance and inspections that catch developing faults before they cause major downtime
- Respond to breakdowns and complete field repairs during busy farming periods
- Repair diesel engines, transmissions and driveline systems
- Fabricate, modify or adapt components when a job calls for it
- Keep accurate service and maintenance records
- Follow the safety, environmental and quality procedures in place
- Communicate clearly with colleagues, customers and other stakeholders
- Keep machinery ready through planting and harvest, including seasonal on-call duties where needed
Requirements & Eligibility
- Recognised trade qualification in Heavy Diesel Mechanics, Mobile Plant Technology or an equivalent discipline
- Minimum 5 years of post-trade mechanical experience
- Demonstrated agricultural machinery experience is essential, including hands-on work with tractors, combines, headers, sprayers or related farm equipment
- Broadacre cropping, livestock or mixed-farming machinery experience highly regarded
- Strong mechanical, hydraulic, electrical and diagnostic fault-finding skills, with the ability to identify faults and complete repairs independently
- At ease working in both the workshop and outdoor rural settings
- Fluent English communication skills are essential
- Current driver's licence, with HR licence advantageous
- A strong work ethic, reliability and a professional attitude
- Able to provide evidence of your qualifications and relevant employment experience
- Candidates must be able to satisfy applicable Australian employment and visa requirements
