Key Responsibilities
- Trace and fix complex electronic and electrical faults on heavy mobile machines
- Handle planned servicing and preventive maintenance programmes
- Look after and fix vehicle air conditioning units
- Assess how machines are running and recommend technical improvements
- Troubleshoot quickly so machines spend less time out of action
- Follow Australian safety rules on site and record every repair and service clearly
- Give reliable, professional support out in the field
- Help the crew raise the standard and efficiency of its service
Requirements & Eligibility
- Qualified Auto Electrician, with trade certification that is recognised
- Practical background on mobile plant, mining machinery or heavy vehicles
- Skilled at diagnosis and finding electrical faults
- Air conditioning experience preferred
- Can interpret technical data and wiring diagrams
- Current driver's licence
- Can pass the site medical and satisfy workplace requirements
- Good English communication skills, enough for safety talks and written reports
- Works safely and to a high standard, whether alone or with the team
- Applicants must be able to prove their employment history and trade experience
