The brands range from premium European and luxury cars to Japanese, Korean and newer electric makes. Positions may include Automotive Technician, Senior Technician, Diagnostic Technician, Master Technician, EV/High-Voltage Technician and Technical Specialist. Key Responsibilities
- Look after routine servicing and the maintenance each logbook calls for
- Pull apart, fix and refit mechanical parts when they wear out
- Track down electrical and mechanical problems with up-to-date scan tools and workshop technology
- Check over each car and tell the service desk what it needs
- Stick to the maker's repair steps and published specs
- Deal with the electronics and ECU side of newer models
- Take on hybrid, EV and high-voltage jobs only when trained for them
- Write up every check, test result and repair clearly
- Help keep the bays safe and tidy, sharing the load with fellow technicians
- Turn out careful, even-quality work from one job to the next
Requirements & Eligibility
- Minimum five years of relevant automotive technician experience
- Previous dealership or recognised OEM workshop experience
- A recognised automotive trade qualification
- Proven diagnostic and fault-finding capability backed by strong mechanical and electrical knowledge
- Verifiable employment and workshop experience
- Relevant manufacturer or brand training where available
- Experience with advanced diagnostics or ECU programming is advantageous
- EV, hybrid or high-voltage experience is highly regarded
- Communicates well and works as part of a team
- Puts workshop safety and quality first
- Completed TRA Skills Assessment
- Required English-language test completed
- Able to provide supporting evidence of qualifications and employment history
