An established food business in South Australia is hiring a qualified Baker for commercial production near Adelaide. Breads and sweet yeast goods come out of its modern ovens every morning, and the team needs someone who can keep them consistent batch after batch.
You will weigh and mix ingredients, follow set recipes and methods, run industrial ovens and bakery equipment safely, and finish each day's baking and packing on time. Shifts start early, from about 2:00am, and the work is physical. Sponsorship is available for candidates who meet the required skills and experience criteria.

Key Responsibilities
- Bake breads and sweet yeast lines to a commercial standard
- Weigh and mix ingredients carefully and stick to the set recipes, methods and production steps
- Use industrial ovens and bakery machines safely
- Keep a close eye on every bake so each batch comes out the same
- Get prep, baking and packing done to the day's production plan, even when time is tight
- Work to food safety, hygiene and workplace safety rules
- Keep your bench and the bakery clean, tidy and efficient
- Pull together with the bakery crew to reach production targets
- Carry ingredients and finished goods safely, with loads of up to 25kg
Requirements & Eligibility
- Demonstrated commercial baking experience gained in a commercial bakery or food production setting
- Certificate III in Baking preferred
- Hands-on use of industrial ovens and commercial bakery equipment
- Can show you know baking methods, recipes and production processes
- Know the food safety and hygiene rules
- Can turn out consistent, quality products
- Able to start early, from approximately 2:00am
- Good stamina and able to lift up to 25kg
- Reliable transport and a current, valid driver's licence
- Hard-working, turns up on time and cooperates well with a professional bakery team
- Valid Australian work rights or eligibility for an appropriate visa
- Can provide evidence of qualifications and relevant work experience, and willing to work in South Australia
