Key Responsibilities
- Give respectful personal care that suits each person's culture and whole wellbeing, including showering, dressing and eating
- Help residents with moving around and with communication
- Work with the team on care plans and follow therapy plans for people with dementia
- Notice and report each resident's progress, and tell staff promptly about any change or concern
- Keep resident records accurate and up to date
- Support the registered nurses within your scope of practice
Requirements & Eligibility
- A genuine wish to improve elderly people's lives with kindness and empathy, and a passion for aged care
- Ready for any shift on a 24/7 roster
- Previous caregiving experience preferred; dementia care experience is a strong advantage
- For visa support, applicants need a Registered Nursing degree, or a Level 4+ caregiving qualification with an International Qualification Assessment (IQA)
