Key Responsibilities
- Handle commercial carpentry on ongoing building projects, from general work to finishing
- Fit out interiors, putting in skirting boards and architraves
- Hang commercial doors and fit their hardware
- Lay floors and build decks to each project's needs
- Work from plans, measurements and specs to measure, cut, assemble and fix timber and other materials accurately
- Handle carpentry tools and equipment safely and with skill
- Produce careful, consistent work while sticking to site safety rules
- Get along with other trades and site staff
- Move between job sites around New South Wales when required
Requirements & Eligibility
- At least 3 years of hands-on carpentry experience
- Proven background in commercial carpentry or related building work
- Real, verifiable work or trade history, and able to show your carpentry skills in practice
- Your own tools for general carpentry
- Reliable transport of your own and happy to travel between sites
- Current White Card
- Understanding of Australian construction practices and industry standards is desirable
- Must have Australian work rights or meet sponsorship requirements
- Working Holiday Visa holders, Pty Ltd companies and ABN holders with appropriate insurance are welcome to apply
