A busy Sydney, NSW kitchen with an open pass and an experienced Executive Chef in charge is hiring a Chef de Partie for high-volume service.
You will move between sections, prepare and cook to the kitchen's standards and keep each plate looking right in front of guests. The roster runs 4 days on and 3 days off, and late-night shifts are part of it. Cooks who have worked in restaurants, pubs or hotel kitchens, including Bangladeshi chefs coming from busy Gulf hotel lines, will feel at home with the pace. Sponsorship is available for suitable candidates whose skills and experience meet the role requirements.

Key Responsibilities
- Cook and prepare dishes to the kitchen's set standards
- Work with confidence on different sections
- Keep flavour, quality and plating consistent, especially in view of guests in the open kitchen
- Help with prep and service through busy trading times
- Work closely and talk clearly with the chefs and the wider kitchen team
- Keep prep and service routines accurate
- Follow food safety, hygiene and workplace rules
- Keep benches and prep areas clean and in order
- Juggle several kitchen tasks at once without losing pace
- Help keep the kitchen efficient, respectful and professional
Requirements & Eligibility
- 2–3 years of professional kitchen experience in restaurants, pubs or hotels
- Real hands-on experience across multiple kitchen sections
- Able to show practical cooking skills and relevant work experience
- A strong understanding of how a professional kitchen runs
- Able to keep standards up when service is busy
- Good teamwork and communication skills
- Reliable and on time
- Strong attention to detail
- Professional presentation and high standards of personal hygiene
- Able to multitask and work well under pressure
- Available for late-night shifts
- A positive attitude, a willingness to learn and a strong commitment to quality and continuous professional development
