An established restaurant operation in Western Australia is hiring Chefs and Cooks, and wait staff too, for its Perth venue. The food draws on Asian cuisine, so experience in that style counts, though Japanese cooking is not required.

Kitchen roles cover cooking to set standards, running sections in service, prep, portion control and helping with stock and deliveries. The business runs on clear systems and wants people who plan to build a long-term hospitality career. This job is open to applicants already in Australia with valid work rights. Sponsorship is available for eligible candidates based on verified experience, performance and business requirements, and you must be willing to start work before it is considered.

Key Responsibilities

  • Cook food to set quality standards and run kitchen sections efficiently in service
  • Prepare ingredients and keep prep areas organised
  • Keep food quality, presentation and portion control consistent
  • Follow food safety, hygiene and workplace safety procedures, keeping work areas clean and safe
  • Help with stock control, deliveries and inventory
  • Work with kitchen and front-of-house teams and support newer staff
  • Greet guests and give professional service
  • Take orders and serve food and drinks
  • Help guests with questions about the menu
  • Clear, clean and reset tables
  • Take payments on POS systems
  • Keep the dining room welcoming and help with wider restaurant tasks as needed

Requirements & Eligibility

  • Minimum 1 year of commercial kitchen experience for Chef and Cook positions
  • Demonstrated experience with Asian cuisine
  • Japanese cuisine experience is not required
  • Relevant Australian qualifications are preferred
  • Genuine, verifiable employment experience and the ability to show practical skills for the role
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills
  • A reliable, professional attitude
  • Willing to learn set workplace procedures
  • Committed to building a long-term hospitality career
  • Valid Australian work rights
  • Currently residing in Australia
