Port Hedland in Western Australia needs an experienced Chef for a full-time kitchen where service runs day, evening and overnight. You will cook à la carte food to a high standard every time, move between sections and keep the kitchen going when the pressure rises.

Key Responsibilities
- Cook dishes to set quality standards and deliver steady à la carte food in busy services
- Run food prep and kitchen tasks efficiently
- Keep presentation and portion control high
- Follow food safety, hygiene and workplace health rules
- Move between kitchen sections and step up to keep things running when needed
- Help train and develop junior chefs and apprentices
- Talk clearly with the kitchen and front-of-house teams
- Keep the kitchen organised, clean and safe, and help with stock preparation and general operations
- Add to a positive, professional team culture
- Look for ways to make the kitchen more efficient and the food better
Requirements & Eligibility
- Minimum 3 years of professional kitchen experience, including previous work as a Chef or in a similar culinary position
- Proven experience cooking à la carte cuisine
- Strong hands-on cooking and food preparation skills
- Understanding of professional food safety and hygiene standards
- Able to work independently in a busy kitchen and perform reliably and consistently
- Strong communication and teamwork
- A professional attitude and commitment to quality
- Experience supporting or mentoring junior kitchen staff is advantageous
- Willing to work day, evening and overnight shifts
- English language proficiency
- Australian work rights preferred
