CNC Machine Operator

Manufacturing · Christchurch, New Zealand · Full-Time · $35/hr · Visa: Employer sponsored
No two jobs in this shop look the same. One day it is a single prototype, the next a short run of precision parts or a worn industrial component that needs rebuilding. An engineering business in Christchurch needs CNC machinists who can look at a drawing, plan the setup and hold tolerance without someone checking every step.
You will set up and prove programs on milling, turning and multi-axis machines, choose tooling, workholding and cutting parameters, measure as you go and solve problems when a job fights back. The team is experienced and open to better ways of machining. The full-time role suits someone who enjoys high-mix work and has a work history that can be checked.
Show the machines and controls you have run, the materials you have cut and the tightest work you have produced. list your milling and turning setups in a CNC CV on Build AI CV so the workshop can judge your range at a glance.
