Precision machinists, this one is for the evening shift. A long-established Sydney CNC manufacturer needs an experienced CNC Machinist with 4+ years of recent programming and setting work; setting and running the machines takes up 70% of the job. Experience on any type of CNC machine is considered, and the role will be shaped around the person hired.
From the start you set up, program and run the machines you know, on a mix of production runs and prototypes for clients in manufacturing, oil and gas, construction, defence and infrastructure. There are several openings. Applicants need the right to work in Australia, and visa sponsorship will be considered for the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities
- Program, set up and run CNC Mills, CNC Lathes, a Sliding Head Lathe and other CNC machines
- Prepare tools, work holdings and jobs for the different machining centres, and design work holdings for prototypes and production
- Measure and do the final inspection on every finished part
- Handle production work mixed with prototype jobs for manufacturing, oil & gas, construction, defence and infrastructure customers
- Keep building your CNC programming skills
Requirements & Eligibility
- 4+ years as a machinist or CNC machinist, with 4+ recent years spent programming and setting CNC machines
- At ease running and setting CNC machines, the task behind 70% of the job
- A Fitting and Turning qualification or something similar
- Has programmed with CAM software
- Good with computers and confident reading engineering drawings and documents
- Eager to keep learning and developing
- An A++ work ethic and a great team player ("not my job" is not in your vocabulary)
- Happy working solo or with others
- You must hold the right to work in Australia
- Desirable: CAD-CAM proficiency
- Desirable: Fusion360 proficiency
- Desirable: Okuma OSP proficiency
