Community nursing takes you out of the ward and into the lives of older clients. A small, specialist aged and community care provider wants an experienced Community Registered Nurse for its Darwin team in the Northern Territory. The position is full-time.
Each day you assess clients, write their care plans, dress wounds and look after their medication. You act as an extra arm of a multidisciplinary team, which is a group of different health workers caring for the same client. Senior clinicians mentor the nurses, and the provider supports continuing professional development (CPD) and career pathways.
This vacancy is for onshore applicants, meaning nurses who are already living in Australia. For the right candidates the provider is able to offer sponsorship and a pathway to Permanent Residency, the status that lets a person stay in the country long term.

Key Responsibilities
- Carry out clinical assessments that take in each client's physical, emotional, social and environmental needs
- Plan care that is clinically appropriate, covering wound management and the documentation that goes with it
- Give medication to clients as required
- Chart every medication accurately
- Help residents with their personal care requirements
- Stand up for clients as their advocate and give a premium level of care and support
Requirements & Eligibility
- A relevant degree qualification
- Registered Nurse with current General Registration with AHPRA
- A current Australian driver's licence, together with a current National Criminal History Check
