Think of this Electrician job in Sydney, New South Wales as two trades in one. Part of your week is standard power work in houses and commercial buildings; the rest is security: cameras, alarm panels, intercoms and door access systems.
Jobs stay local and the hours are a steady 40-hour week. Because you will often be working inside a family's home, good manners, clear updates and a clean finish matter as much as your wiring. Overseas-qualified electricians who meet Australian licensing eligibility are encouraged to apply.

Key Responsibilities
- Handle electrical installs, upkeep and repairs for both household and commercial clients
- Fit and look after CCTV and other surveillance gear
- Put in and service alarms, intercoms and door access control
- Travel to each customer, work out what the job involves and finish it accurately and well
- Keep clients updated as work progresses and earn their trust with a professional manner
- Run your own jobs with little supervision
- Stay compliant with electrical safety rules and site procedures
- Keep your tools, gear and work areas tidy and safe
- Represent the business well inside homes and business premises
Requirements & Eligibility
- Australian electrical licence or overseas electrical qualification eligible for Australian licensing
- Minimum 3 years of practical electrical experience, covering both residential and commercial jobs
- Confident working on electrical systems and installations
- Experience with CCTV, alarms, intercoms or access control is advantageous
- Own electrical hand tools
- Australian driver's licence
- White Card
- Working at Heights and EWP tickets are advantageous
- Good with customers and a clear communicator, presenting and behaving professionally on every job
- Dependable and self-motivated, comfortable working on your own
- Able to provide verifiable qualifications and employment experience
