Key Responsibilities
- Service, maintain and repair forklifts and other material handling equipment in the workshop and at customer sites
- Diagnose faults and carry out effective repairs, then test and adjust equipment so it runs safely and efficiently
- Complete scheduled preventative maintenance to keep machines performing reliably
- Respond to customer needs with timely, professional technical support
- Inspect equipment and give accurate assessments and repair recommendations
- Fill in service paperwork and keep accurate records of inspections and repairs
- Follow Australian workplace health and safety requirements and keep tools and work areas safe and tidy
- Work alongside experienced technicians, service teams and customers, and keep learning through training and mentoring
- Represent the organisation with quality workmanship and clear, customer-focused communication
Requirements & Eligibility
- Demonstrated experience as a Forklift Service Engineer, Service Technician, Maintenance Technician or a similar technical role
- A relevant trade qualification in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Heavy Equipment or a related discipline, backed by practical industry experience
- Minimum three years of hands-on experience servicing, repairing or maintaining forklifts and material handling equipment, including diagnosing faults and doing preventative and corrective maintenance
- Strong mechanical, hydraulic, electrical and technical troubleshooting skills
- Able to communicate well with customers and team members in English
- Proven commitment to quality workmanship, workplace safety and professional standards
- Able to provide verified employment history, qualifications and supporting evidence of skills
- Able to meet applicable Australian visa sponsorship and skills assessment requirements
- Motivated to bring technical skills and industry experience to a professional workplace
