Cutting, colour and styling: if all three are second nature to you, an established Melbourne salon would like to hear from you. The team is hiring a senior Hairdresser to bring real, hands-on skill to a supportive group while still growing as a stylist.
Day to day, you would deliver steady, high-quality work, talk clients through their options with confidence and help keep the salon welcoming. Over time there is room to build a clientele of your own. Sponsorship is available for the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities
- Listen to each client and work out what their hair needs, recommending suitable care routines and professional products
- Give precision cuts with scissors, thinning scissors and clippers, including men's cuts and styling
- Carry out colour and highlights
- Do chemical straightening and other suitable treatments
- Handle shampoo, conditioning and scalp preparation
- Style hair for formal occasions, events and professional sessions
- Braid and work with hair pieces when needed
- Tailor every style to the client's preferences
- Keep technical work and presentation to a high standard
- Build friendly, professional relationships that bring clients back and grow a loyal clientele
- Help keep the salon cooperative and supportive
- Keep your workstation tidy and hygienic
Requirements & Eligibility
- Professional hairdressing experience and practical skills you can demonstrate
- A maximum of 5 years' experience in the industry
- Strong cutting, colouring and styling ability, with hands-on experience in highlighting and chemical treatments
- Comfortable with both men's and women's haircuts
- Capable at event and occasion styling
- Good knowledge of hair care and recommending products
- Strong skills in client consultation and communication
- Reliable, on time and professionally presented
- A friendly, confident customer service manner
- Works well as part of a team
- A real commitment to quality and detail
- Flexible about working hours
