Some technicians will work in the workshop on scheduled servicing and repairs, others in field service, getting broken-down trucks back on the road. You will diagnose mechanical, electrical and diesel faults across many truck brands and keep clear service records. A Certificate III in Heavy Commercial Vehicle Mechanical Technology is essential. Sponsorship is available for eligible candidates, subject to requirements and approvals. For Bangladeshi diesel mechanics with Gulf fleet experience, a solid, checkable work history is key.

Key Responsibilities

  • Service and maintain heavy commercial vehicles, including preventative and scheduled work
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical and diesel faults across heavy vehicle systems
  • Inspect trucks, trailers and related parts
  • Use diagnostic gear and mechanical test procedures
  • Handle breakdown repairs and corrective maintenance
  • Work on many truck brands and customer fleets, in the workshop or in the field
  • Keep service records and repair paperwork up to date
  • Follow health, safety and quality procedures
  • Look after tools, equipment and service vehicles
  • Work well with other technicians and supervisors

Requirements & Eligibility

  • Certificate III in Heavy Commercial Vehicle Mechanical Technology is essential
  • Proven hands-on experience as a Heavy Vehicle Diesel Mechanic, with clear servicing, repair and diagnostic skills
  • A genuine and verifiable employment history in heavy vehicle mechanics
  • Able to provide evidence of relevant qualifications and work experience
  • A current Australian driver's licence
  • Australian working rights appropriate to the position
  • Strong mechanical problem-solving skills
  • A commitment to safe, high-quality work
  • Able to work alone and as part of a technical team
  • Willing to work in a workshop or in field service
