Rooms ready, on time, every time: that is the job of the full-time Housekeeping Manager this established Gold Coast hotel is hiring at executive level.
You will plan the day's workload, run team briefings, set rosters and check that rooms meet standard before guests arrive. Working with hotel leadership, you will adjust staffing as demand changes, handle admin and support billing, keep health, safety and compliance on track and deal with performance issues quickly. Smooth handovers between shifts and a team that takes pride in its work are the goal. Weekends and public holidays are part of the roster when needed. Sponsorship is available for eligible candidates.

Key Responsibilities
- Own daily housekeeping operations and team performance
- Plan workloads and assign duties by operational priority, leading briefings that set clear service expectations
- Check room readiness so every room meets standard before guests arrive
- Work with hotel leadership to keep and raise housekeeping quality
- Review staffing needs and coordinate resources as demand changes, managing rosters and daily admin
- Keep health, safety and compliance procedures accurate and support billing and other processes
- Monitor standards, deal with performance issues quickly and solve operational problems practically
- Keep communication clear between housekeeping staff and management and run effective shift handovers
- Build a team culture of accountability, service and quality
Requirements & Eligibility
- Proven experience managing hotel housekeeping operations
- Previous experience as a Housekeeping Manager or senior housekeeping professional is highly regarded
- Able to supervise, coordinate and motivate housekeeping teams
- A strong understanding of hotel room standards and guest expectations
- Genuine hands-on experience relevant to the role that you can demonstrate
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills, with excellent organisation and time management
- Able to juggle competing priorities in a busy hotel and solve operational problems with confidence
- Understanding of workplace health and safety requirements and a strong commitment to compliance and professional standards
- Understanding of annualised budgets and operational costs
- Professional presentation, a service-focused attitude and availability for weekends and public holidays when required
- No formal qualification is required, but candidates must be able to substantiate their relevant professional experience
