Mechanic

Visa sponsorship

Automotive · Perth, WA, Australia · Full-Time · Discussed at interview · Visa: Employer sponsored

Not every mechanic gets to work on aviation equipment. This role in Western Australia puts a qualified Mechanic onto fleet vehicles and Ground Support Equipment (GSE) used in aviation operations, in a specialised maintenance setting.

You would service and inspect vehicles and specialised gear, trace faults across mechanical, diesel and hydraulic systems, and fix them to safety and quality standards. Planned maintenance sits alongside urgent breakdown call-outs. You keep clear service records, report any extra repairs, look after your tools and follow aviation safety rules. You will often work alone but stay in touch with the wider team and site staff.

Sponsorship is available for suitable overseas candidates who meet the required trade and employment criteria.

Your CV should state whether you are a light vehicle or heavy diesel mechanic, the fleets or equipment you have maintained and any welding or hydraulics work. You can tune up a GSE fleet mechanic CV on Build AI CV and list each workshop with clear dates.
