Do you weld and fabricate steel for a living? A Perth company that makes fencing is hiring a Metal Fabricator / Welder. You would cut and shape steel, put parts together, make gates, frames and similar products, and do MIG welding. There is also a chance to learn other sections of the factory.

Sponsorship for a Skills in Demand visa (subclass 482) is possible. This is an employer-backed work visa. Whether it goes ahead depends on your occupation, a skills assessment and the immigration rules of Australia.

Key Responsibilities
- Cut and shape steel, prepare the pieces and join them into components
- Make gates, frames and other steel products
- Do MIG welding, and other welding where it is relevant
- Work from technical drawings and specifications with the factory's machines, equipment and hand tools
- Check every weld and finished item for accuracy and quality; learn other sections and support other teams if needed
Requirements & Eligibility
- First option: a Certificate III/IV in welding or metal fabrication, or a similar trade qualification from overseas, and relevant skilled work for at least 12 months within the last five years
- Second option, with no formal qualifications: at least three years of professional welding and/or skilled metal fabrication experience
- Payslips and references from your employers that show your dates of employment and skilled duties
- Practical ability in welding and fabrication
- Living in Australia now with valid working rights, and ready to sit a formal skills assessment if required
