A Western Australian painting business with more than 25 years in residential and commercial work wants a Team Leader for its Painting Division in the Perth metro area. Commercial construction experience in painting and decorating is the ideal background, and the full-time permanent role is for skilled tradespeople who work to a very high standard.
The company is known for careful detail, on-time projects, specialty finishes and wallcoverings, and strong customer relationships. You will report to the Painting Manager and lead the crew across many sites. TSS482 visa sponsorship may be available for the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities
- Report straight to the Painting Manager
- Motivate the team and work alongside them across many sites, managing projects and crew members
- Solve problems as they come up, or work through them with the Painting Manager to get a good result
- Keep the work environment safe and follow OSH policies, company procedures and induction manuals
Requirements & Eligibility
- Trade Certified Painter (must have completed an apprenticeship)
- Proven experience in a leading hand or 2IC role
- Able to manage projects and team members, with strong communication and organisational skills
- Able to solve problems or work with the Painting Manager to reach a positive outcome when issues come up
- A sharp eye for detail to keep quality under control
- Can read and understand project drawings (floor plans/elevations)
- Manual driver's license
- White card
- No subcontractors or ABN holders
- Desirable: EWP and/or Working at Heights ticket
- Desirable: First Aid
- Desirable: airless spraying experience
- Current National Criminal History Check
