Cakes, pastries and other baked goods come off the line every day at this commercial bakery in Dubbo, and it needs a Pastry Chef or Bakery Assistant who already knows production work. You will weigh and mix ingredients, run mixers, ovens and dispensers, and keep every batch consistent.
Clean, safe work matters here: GMP and HACCP rules guide the day, machines are cleaned and cared for, and you will lift loads of up to 25kg. This role is open to applicants already living in Australia. Eligible candidates may be considered for sponsorship under the Orana DAMA, a regional migration agreement.

Key Responsibilities
- Weigh and prepare ingredients for cakes, pastries and other bakery products, mixing them accurately on commercial equipment
- Run mixers, ovens, dispensers and other production machines
- Watch baking and production to keep products consistent
- Keep the production flow organised and efficient
- Follow set recipes, production procedures and quality standards
- Apply food safety, hygiene, GMP and HACCP rules every day and keep work areas clean
- Clean and look after bakery machinery and equipment
- Lift, carry, push and pull materials and products safely, up to 25kg
- Support the bakery team to meet production requirements
Requirements & Eligibility
- Practical experience in a commercial bakery, pastry or food-production setting
- Demonstrated ability to prepare and produce bakery or pastry products
- A relevant baking or food-production qualification is advantageous
- Knowledge of commercial food safety and hygiene, with an understanding of GMP and HACCP principles
- Able to use bakery equipment safely and efficiently
- Strong attention to product quality and consistency
- Able to work well in a production-focused team
- Physically able to handle loads of up to 25kg
- Currently residing in Australia
- Able to provide evidence of relevant qualifications and work experience
