Key Responsibilities
- Lend a hand on piling and foundation jobs across building sites
- Help the crew pour concrete and fix steel
- Pick up construction methods through hands-on training under supervision, including how to work safely around machinery
- Stay close to your supervisor and the experienced crew
- Stick to site directions, safety rules and quality checks
- Prepare the day's tools and gear and keep the site tidy and hazard-free
- Be someone the crew can rely on, day in, day out
- Grow your practical skills with every week on site
- Accept bigger tasks as you improve, aiming for senior crew and team leader roles
Requirements & Eligibility
- You are fit enough for manual construction work
- You show up regularly and dependably
- You want to pick up new construction skills from seasoned workers and will join in workplace training
- You can take in instructions at work and carry them out
- You fit in well as part of a building crew
- Labouring or construction experience is beneficial but not essential, and concreting, steel fixing, piling or machinery experience is advantageous
- Where it applies, you can supply genuine proof of past jobs or relevant experience
- You bring a can-do attitude and work hard
