Mining fleets only produce when the machines are running. This FIFO Product Support Advisor role in Western Australia is about keeping heavy mobile plant available and reliable, by finding the real cause of problems and helping site maintenance teams fix them for good.
Much of the job is advisory, which means inspecting equipment, studying performance issues, guiding maintenance crews, supporting warranty matters and suggesting changes that improve fleet reliability. Part is hands-on, helping with component changes and planned work when the site needs it. You will work FIFO rosters with 12-hour shifts. Overseas applicants with suitable qualifications and experience may be considered for visa sponsorship.

Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose faults on heavy mobile equipment and keep downtime low
- Look into performance issues and decide on corrective action
- Give expert technical advice to site maintenance staff
- Inspect machines and spot reliability risks early
- Help plan and carry out preventative and planned maintenance, including component changes
- Support warranty matters with technical input
- Assess equipment condition and recommend better maintenance practice
- Contribute to fleet optimisation and continuous improvement projects that lift reliability, availability and efficiency
- Get hands-on when operations require it
- Keep accurate service and technical records and help train others
- Build good working relationships with customers and site teams
- Follow site safety and environmental rules while working FIFO rosters and long shifts
Requirements & Eligibility
- A Mobile Plant Trade Certificate or an equivalent international qualification
- Proven experience maintaining heavy mobile plant, gained in mining, field service or large-scale equipment maintenance
- Practical experience on heavy earthmoving machinery, which is highly regarded
- Advanced fault-finding and diagnostic skills
- Able to analyse equipment problems, recommend solutions and apply preventative maintenance and reliability principles
- Comfortable combining advisory duties with hands-on work
- Good communication and people skills, with a professional manner towards customers and stakeholders
- Able to work alone or as part of a maintenance team
- Willing to work FIFO rosters and 12-hour shifts
- Committed to safety and compliance on remote mine sites
- High-risk work licences such as Forklift, EWP, Dogging, Rigging or Working at Heights are advantageous
