Project Analyst

Visa sponsorship

Construction · Perth, WA, Australia · Contract · Discussed at interview · Visa: Employer sponsored

Are you an engineer who would rather work with data than paperwork? A piling contractor in Perth needs a Project Analyst, working as a technical site administrator, for its site-based team on a major solar construction project.

This is not a typical admin job. It suits someone from Industrial Engineering, Process Engineering, Solar QA or a related field who enjoys systems and how operations really run. You would sit with the project team to analyse construction data, reconcile quantities, keep project systems in order and sharpen reporting, productivity and efficiency on site. The employer may consider sponsorship for the right candidate, and the contract is based on a remote site.

On your CV, name the registers, dashboards and reconciliations you have handled and the tools behind them, such as Excel and AppSheet. To get it in shape, map out a solar site analyst CV in Build AI CV.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare daily and weekly reports on production, timesheets and plant.
  • Analyse productivity and project performance data, picking out discrepancies, trends and room for improvement.
  • Reconcile quantities for piling, trackers and modules.
  • Keep the survey, pile testing and tolerance registers up to date.
  • Manage ITPs, ITCs, ITRs, punch lists and QA registers.
  • Look after AppSheet trackers, project systems and reporting dashboards, and help improve and optimise site systems.
  • Coordinate delivery registers, materials and laydown planning.
  • Work with the project team, the client and the principal contractor on reporting and documentation.

Requirements & Eligibility

  • A qualification or background in Industrial Engineering, Process Engineering, Operations Engineering or another technical discipline is desirable.
  • Sharp analytical thinking and comfort handling large or complex data sets.
  • Advanced Excel, including formulas, pivot tables, data validation and VLOOKUP or XLOOKUP.
  • A genuine interest in process improvement, productivity and running operations efficiently.
  • The ability to read workflows and spot where systems and processes can get better.
  • Close attention to detail, good problem solving and the knack of picking up new systems quickly.
  • Comfortable working on your own in a remote site setting.
  • Experience with Google Sheets, AppSheet, Google Data Studio, Primavera P6 or Employment Hero would be advantageous.
  • A background in solar construction, manufacturing, logistics, operations or other project-based settings will also be highly regarded.
