Marine works, revetments and public spaces take careful engineering. A construction business delivering major civil, marine and recreational projects in Western Australia is hiring a Project Engineer, with room for a Senior Project Engineer too.
Engineers here are trusted to own their part of a project. You would coordinate subcontractors, suppliers and specialist trades, run daily site activity and track progress, and help with programmes and cost control. The scope includes piling, fender systems, revetments, drainage, landscaping and the interfaces between civil, marine, structural and public realm work. You keep ITPs, HIRACs and inspection records in order, deal with clients and consultants, and support graduate engineers.

Key Responsibilities
- Own your assigned construction activities and their outcomes
- Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers and specialist trades, and run day-to-day site activity while tracking progress
- Help with programming, scheduling and cost control
- Manage the interfaces between civil, marine, structural and public realm works
- Oversee specialist packages such as piling, fender systems and revetments, plus drainage, landscaping and related civil works
- Review what the build needs and find practical ways to deliver it, including better constructability and efficiency
- Keep quality paperwork up to date, including ITPs, HIRACs and inspection records
- Check the work meets safety, quality and environmental requirements
- Work with clients, consultants, contractors and other stakeholders, and report progress with accurate records
- Mentor graduate and junior engineers
Requirements & Eligibility
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or an equivalent recognised qualification
- 2–4 years of civil or marine construction experience for Project Engineer level
- Relevant senior-level construction and project delivery experience for Senior Project Engineer positions
- Previous site-based engineering experience preferred
- A record of coordinating subcontractors and construction crews
- Working knowledge of project scheduling, cost management and quality assurance
- Communicates clearly, manages stakeholders well and keeps good, organised documentation
- Reads construction requirements and sorts out practical site problems
- Puts workplace safety and quality first
- Proactive, takes ownership and works well in multidisciplinary construction teams
- Real interest in delivering major infrastructure and community projects
