Key Responsibilities
- Check every person entering the secure facility and admit authorised people only
- Walk regular patrols, stay alert to activity across the site and act on suspicious behaviour
- Respond to alarms, incidents and emergencies as they happen
- Be a visible, professional and approachable security presence
- Speak clearly with staff, contractors and visitors who are authorised to be on site
- Follow site security procedures and protocols every shift, using good judgement when an incident needs escalating
- Write accurate logs, reports and other security records
- Keep sensitive information confidential
- Help keep the workplace secure, respectful and professional
Requirements & Eligibility
- Australian Citizenship may be required for security clearance eligibility
- A current QLD Security Licence
- A current security clearance is advantageous
- Willing and eligible to go through the required security clearance process, and able to meet the identity, credential and background checks that apply
- High integrity, honesty and accountability
- Strong communication skills
- Close attention to detail and good situational awareness
- Stays calm and professional under pressure
- Able to follow strict security and operating procedures
- Previous experience in security or another sensitive operational setting is desirable
