A growing salon in Auckland is looking for 2 Senior Hairdressers who are confident with clients and strong on technique, from precision cuts to complex colour work.
Your bookings would include ladies and children cuts, blow waves, global colour and regrowth, foils, highlights, balayage, toning, colour correction and smoothing treatments. You would talk each client through what they want, suggest suitable products, work with little supervision and help mentor junior stylists, including at demonstrations and training sessions. Sponsorship is available for eligible overseas candidates.

Key Responsibilities
- Deliver precise cuts for women and children, finished with blow waves and styling
- Handle global colour, regrowth, foils, highlights and balayage
- Do toning and colour correction work
- Offer smoothing services and hair treatments
- Talk with each client about what they want and suggest the right products and treatments
- Hold technical and service quality high from the start to the finish of each booking
- Build lasting, professional client relationships
- Work confidently with little supervision
- Mentor and develop junior stylists
- Join workshops, demonstrations and hands-on training when asked
- Keep your station clean and tidy and follow hygiene rules, salon procedures and workplace standards
Requirements & Eligibility
- Recognised hairdressing qualification equivalent to NZQF Level 4 or higher
- Minimum 2 years working professionally in the industry
- Strong hands-on cutting, colouring, foiling and styling, including colour correction, toning, highlights and balayage
- Confident working on your own in a professional salon
- Strong communication and client consultation skills, and excellent customer service
- Reliable, committed and professional at work
- Free to work weekends when required
- Beauty therapy skills or previous beauty industry experience is advantageous
- Experience in practical training or mentoring junior stylists is advantageous
- Can clearly set out the services you perform with confidence
- Can disclose any services where you may need more training or development
- Willing to meet New Zealand visa and employment requirements
