Great hair work keeps clients coming back. An established, growing salon in Melbourne wants a Senior Hairdresser who pairs strong technical skill with real care for clients.
You would consult each client properly, then cut, colour and style to a polished, consistent finish. Advice on aftercare and home styling is part of the service, and so is building long-term client relationships. You will work beside experienced stylists, keep your station clean and hygienic, follow salon and safety procedures and keep learning new trends and techniques. Hair extension work is a plus, though strong senior-level hairdressing comes first.

Key Responsibilities
- Provide professional hairdressing and styling services
- Hold thorough consultations to understand each client's hair needs
- Cut, colour and style hair, and deliver other salon services, to a polished and consistent finish

- Build positive, long-lasting client relationships and keep clients returning through quality work and good communication

- Keep your station clean, organised and hygienic, following salon and health and safety procedures
- Keep up with current trends, techniques and industry news
- Take part in professional training and skills development
- Carry out hair extension services where you are qualified or experienced
Requirements & Eligibility
- Relevant hairdressing qualification or recognised industry training
- Proven experience as a Senior Hair Stylist or experienced professional hairdresser, with a demonstrable history in professional salons
- Able to verify your professional identity, qualifications and relevant employment, and willing to take part in the required verification process
- Strong technical knowledge of modern hairdressing techniques
- Confident at client consultations, with good interpersonal skills
- Very close attention to detail
- Strongly committed to quality and customer satisfaction
- A passion for hairdressing and for growing your skills
- Professional, reliable and motivated
- Works well on your own and in a team
- Understands salon hygiene, safety and professional standards
- Hair extension experience is highly regarded
