If you can turn a rough sketch into a clean aluminium gate, this Perth workshop wants to hear from you. It needs a Sheet Metal Fabricator who also works in aluminium, produces quality products and works independently in a busy production setting.
You would cut, bend and roll material, weld aluminium with TIG and laser equipment, and fabricate and finish parts from drawings. Every component gets checked before it leaves your bench. When a job gets tricky, you work it out with the team and share ideas to improve methods.

Key Responsibilities
- Fabricate and assemble aluminium and sheet metal products, measuring and preparing materials first
- Work from technical drawings, plans and simple sketches
- Weld aluminium using TIG and laser methods
- Run cutting, bending and rolling machines
- Carry out accurate fabrication and finishing, then inspect components for quality and accuracy
- Keep production and the workshop running efficiently
- Solve fabrication problems with colleagues and suggest better production methods
- Look after tools, equipment and work areas
- Follow all safety and workplace procedures
Requirements & Eligibility
- 3–5 years or more of relevant industry experience, with previous employment as a Sheet Metal or Aluminium Fabricator
- Strong practical aluminium welding experience
- Competence with TIG or laser welding
- Able to understand and follow fabrication drawings, and experienced with sheet metal fabrication equipment
- Fencing and gates experience is highly regarded
- Excellent attention to detail
- Strong practical problem-solving ability
- Committed to quality and safe work practices
