The engineer designs, builds and maintains modern applications together with stakeholders. Daily work includes React, RESTful APIs, SQL and NoSQL databases, and cloud deployment with CI/CD pipelines. The business also has a growing focus on artificial intelligence, so LLM integrations and chatbots are part of the duties.

Key Responsibilities
- Discuss business requirements with stakeholders and write them up as technical designs and specifications
- Develop, test and maintain applications with C#/.NET, JavaScript/Node.js, Python and React
- Design, build and maintain RESTful APIs, and join applications with SQL and NoSQL databases
- Implement AI capabilities inside applications, for example automated workflows, chatbots and LLM (large language model) integrations
- Prepare data, and build, train and evaluate machine learning models used in classification, prediction and analytics
- Deploy applications into AWS or Azure cloud environments using CI/CD pipelines, and manage them afterwards
- Write unit and integration tests, troubleshoot issues, resolve defects promptly, and take part in code reviews so that best practices in security, performance and code quality are kept
- Create and maintain test records, technical documentation and user guides, and give ongoing maintenance, enhancements and technical support to existing systems
Requirements & Eligibility
- A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering or a related field, or equivalent professional experience instead of the degree
- A minimum of 3 years' commercial experience in the fields of software design, development and testing
- Strong programming skills in Python, and also experience in React, Node.js or C#/.NET
- Proven experience in designing APIs
- Proven experience in working with relational (SQL) databases, and a sound understanding of software architecture, version control (Git) and testing methodologies
- Hands-on experience with AI/ML tools and frameworks such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, scikit-learn or the OpenAI API
- Experience of working within Scrum or Agile teams
- Excellent communication, problem-solving and analytical skills, and the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team
