A stone fabrication team on the Gold Coast is hiring a full-time Stonemason. The work runs from the drawing to the finished piece: you will measure up, cut and shape the stone, polish it and fit it in homes and on building projects.
Benchtops and splashbacks make up much of the work, along with fireplaces, barbecues and other custom features. Accuracy matters at every step, so you will check alignment and finish before signing off, sort out problems when they appear and work alongside other trades on site. Masons from Bangladesh who have cut marble and granite on Gulf projects will feel at home. Visa sponsorship is available for suitable candidates.

Key Responsibilities
- Study technical drawings and project specifications before starting
- Measure accurately and work out how much material is needed
- Cut, shape, polish and finish stone to project requirements and prepare components for installation
- Install benchtops, splashbacks, fireplaces, barbecues and other custom or architectural stone features
- Check finished work for alignment, measurements, finish and quality
- Coordinate with other trades and installation crews
- Operate specialised stoneworking machinery and hand tools and keep them in good working order
- Solve measuring, fabrication or installation problems as they come up
- Follow workplace health and safety procedures at every stage
Requirements & Eligibility
- Recognised stonemasonry qualification or formal trade training
- Trade certificate in stonemasonry
- Minimum 3–5 years of relevant professional experience
- Proven hands-on stone fabrication and installation experience
- Strong ability to read technical drawings and specifications
- Competent with professional cutting, shaping and finishing equipment for stone
- Proven precision with measurements and finishing, plus practical problem-solving on fabrication and installation work
- Works independently while contributing well to a team
- Good physical capacity for handling and installing stone, with a commitment to safe work and professional workmanship
- Able to provide evidence of qualifications and relevant employment experience
