Community Services · Tauranga, New Zealand · Contract · $25 - $30/hr · Visa: Employer sponsored
For probashi workers who enjoy caring for others, a disability support service in Tauranga, New Zealand has a full-time contract opening for a Support Worker / Life Facilitator. You would become part of a team that is there for one client at every hour, 24/7. The client lives with tetraplegia, is highly motivated, active and has full-time commitments.
With the team, you help with personal cares, everyday tasks and friendship, and you drive the client to work and family commitments, sometimes with travel.
The roster has day shifts from 7 am until 5 pm and night shifts from 5 pm until 7 am, which include a sleepover period. Most weeks are about 35 hours or more over roughly 2 to 4 shifts, with 2 weekend shifts each month. Comprehensive training comes from the client and team. The employer is accredited and holds job tokens to support work visas, so AEWV sponsorship is available. AEWV stands for Accredited Employer Work Visa.
