Switchboard Electrician and Electrical Engineer

Visa sponsorship

Trade · Brisbane, QLD, Australia · Full-Time · Discussed at interview · Visa: Employer sponsored

Before power reaches a factory floor or a city substation, the gear that switches and protects it has to be built and tested. A Brisbane manufacturer of electrical equipment for low, medium and high voltage work is growing its technical team and hiring on two fronts: switchboard electricians and an HV/MV electrical engineer.

The electricians would put finished boards and transportable switchrooms through their checks, prove protection and control functions, build and alter panels from drawings, and help commission equipment on site, sometimes during shutdowns. The engineer would look over drawings and specifications for switchgear and substation work and give production and test staff practical answers when problems come up. The Electrical Engineer who is chosen can receive 482 visa sponsorship.

Note the switchboards you have tested, the standards you work to and your licence or engineering registration on your CV. detail your switchboard testing CV with Build AI CV so the technical depth comes through.
