Passenger cars, commercial vehicles and 4WDs all roll through this busy Brisbane workshop, and it needs a full-time Tyre Fitter and Wheel Aligner who can keep them moving.
Your day covers fitting tyres, including on aftermarket wheels, running wheel alignments on cars and 4WDs, and handling light and medium servicing. You will inspect tyres and wheels, sort out the problems you find and finish each job safely and on time against workshop KPIs. Talking clearly with customers and helping the rest of the team are part of it too. Sponsorship is available for suitably qualified candidates with the required experience. Bangladeshi mechanics who have run tyre bays in the Gulf will know this ground.

Key Responsibilities
- Fit tyres to passenger, commercial and 4WD vehicles, on standard and aftermarket wheels
- Check and adjust wheel alignment on passenger vehicles and 4WDs
- Handle light and medium servicing and maintenance
- Inspect tyres, wheels and related parts and fix any problems found
- Finish workshop jobs quickly without dropping quality, working towards KPIs and agreed completion times
- Follow safe operating procedures and workshop safety rules
- Keep tools, equipment and work areas clean and tidy
- Work on your own, own your finished work and help teammates with general workshop tasks
- Communicate professionally with customers and colleagues
Requirements & Eligibility
- Certificate III in Automotive or an equivalent qualification
- Proven automotive industry experience that can be verified, with genuine technical skills and previous workshop experience
- Hands-on tyre fitting and wheel alignment experience
- Experience with passenger, commercial and 4WD tyres, including fitting tyres to aftermarket wheels
- Practical knowledge of automotive repairs and maintenance
- Physically able to handle and lift tyres
- A strong focus on safety, accuracy and quality work
- Able to work independently and manage your own tasks
- Reliable, punctual and professional, with strong communication and teamwork skills
- Good time management, able to meet deadlines in a busy workshop
- Current manual driver's licence
