Underground Heavy Diesel Fitter
Visa sponsorship
Trade · Sydney, NSW, Australia · Full-Time · $59/hr · Visa: Employer sponsored
Underground mining operations need qualified Heavy Diesel Fitters, and experience from outside mining counts here. If you have kept agricultural machinery, earthmoving gear, civil or quarry plant or heavy vehicles running, your skills can carry across.
What counts most is what you can prove you have done. You will work out why a machine has stopped, put it right, handle big component change-outs and get loaders, haul trucks and drills moving again after a breakdown. You will follow isolation and permit rules, use manuals and hydraulic schematics, and record every job. Mechanics from Bangladesh who have maintained heavy plant on Gulf projects are well placed for this. Visa sponsorship is available for eligible candidates.
On your CV, list the machines you have rebuilt, your diagnostic tools and your trade certificate. Get an underground loader and haul-truck fitter CV ready with Build AI CV before you apply.
