A trailer factory in Brisbane, QLD has a permanent full-time opening for a Welder who can do more than lay a good MIG bead.
Here the trailer is built from start to finish. You will weld frames and chassis, assemble sections from drawings, fit suspension and brakes and install air, electrical and hydraulic systems before testing them. Spotting faulty materials or poor work early is part of the job. Bangladeshi welders who have built trailers or truck bodies in the Gulf will recognise much of this work. Sponsorship is available for suitable candidates. A welding certificate helps but is not essential.

Key Responsibilities
- MIG weld steel trailer frames, chassis and related parts
- Read drawings, welding specifications and measurements, then prepare, position and assemble trailer sections
- Fit chassis, suspension, brakes and other trailer parts
- Install air, electrical and hydraulic systems as needed, and test them before sign-off
- Fit accessories and custom trailer features
- Use welders, hand tools and measuring gear correctly
- Check welds, dimensions and the finished build for quality
- Report any non-conforming materials, parts or workmanship
- Keep the workshop safe and organised
- Work with the production team to keep jobs flowing and meet quality, safety and output standards
Requirements & Eligibility
- At least 2 years of practical welding experience
- Previous trailer assembly or trailer manufacturing experience
- Strong MIG welding ability on steel
- Able to read and work from blueprints and technical drawings, and confident with measuring equipment and workshop tools
- A hands-on understanding of trailer chassis, suspension and braking parts
- Experience with air, hydraulic or electrical trailer systems is advantageous
- Able to show genuine hands-on trade experience
- Strong attention to detail and consistent work
- A reliable approach to attendance and production duties
- A safety-minded attitude in a manufacturing setting
- Welding certification is advantageous but not essential
