It is permanent and full-time, in the kitchen of an aged care home, with an Australian-owned caterer that has 25 years of experience in aged care, education, retail and remote services.
The hours are Monday to Friday, 9:00 am to 5:30 pm. You manage the kitchen yourself, cook fresh food in large amounts, and prepare texture-modified meals, meaning food made softer or smoother for residents with special diets. Hygiene must stay high. Sponsorship may be available for the right candidate.

Requirements & Eligibility
- Recognised trade qualification in commercial cookery
- Current Food Safety Supervisor qualification
- Experience in food preparation, bulk cooking and kitchen operations
- Knowledge of texture-modified diets and meeting individual dietary requirements
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Ability to work independently, manage priorities and maintain high standards
- Current National Criminal History Check
- Ability to meet the flu vaccination requirements of the site
