Key Responsibilities
- Cook tasty, creative meals of high quality, at speed
- Join the Head Chef to plan new menu dishes and make current ones better
- Get prep and cooking done quickly and to a high standard
- Keep every part of the kitchen clean, tidy and hygienic
- Look after guests well and answer what they ask for without delay
- Help count stock, order kitchen supplies and obey all food safety and workplace health and safety regulations
Requirements & Eligibility
- At least 2 years working as a Chef/Cook in hospitality of a similar type
- Formal culinary training or qualifications, such as a Certificate III in Commercial Cookery
- Excellent knowledge of preparing and cooking food with different techniques, and of safe food practices
- Strong skills in managing your time and doing many tasks at once in a busy kitchen
- Ability to work well in a team and help a positive work culture, with a real love for cooking high-quality meals that make dining better
