Key Responsibilities
- Create and roll out practical HR strategies, advising leadership on workforce needs
- Run recruitment and talent acquisition
- Plan workforce capability and succession
- Support employee engagement and retention
- Manage performance and employee relations, including workplace investigations, grievances and disciplinary processes
- Keep the business compliant with employment legislation and awards
- Review HR policies, procedures and documents
- Prepare HR metrics and workforce reports
- Support reviews of how staff are rewarded
- Help with injury management and return-to-work programs
Requirements & Eligibility
- Proven experience as an HR Manager or senior HR professional
- Relevant tertiary qualification preferred
- Experience within construction, mining, engineering, infrastructure or similar operational sectors
- Strong knowledge of Australian employment law, modern awards and workplace relations
- Demonstrated experience in employee relations and investigations
- A strong background in recruitment and workforce planning
- Excellent analytical, negotiation and communication skills
- Able to work with both senior leaders and operational employees
- Experience using HRIS and payroll platforms
- Able to work independently in a hands-on setting
- Sponsorship or migration experience highly regarded
